Ugh. I'm not even sure Nightfall would be worth it...

I was thinking about this last night: pre-searing Ascalon was genius. Whoever made that call should get promoted. When the searing hits, and the first time you see "Two Years Later...." and witness the scarred land of Ascalon...

Man. It still makes me want to kill Charr.

I just thought of how awesome it would be if they came in the Great temple of balthazar in the film.

What about a story of a family during the Searing?
A Story of the Original Guild Wars?
Rise of the White Mantle?
Great Destroyer?
The Entire Nightfall Storyline?
Err..... That kurzick/Luxon marriage thing that happened before Factions release?
The Deldrimor Dwarves fighting the Stone summit with a final battle at THK (HEAD FOR HELMS DEEP!)?

Now that I think about it, Alot of Guildwars Related story plots could be turned into movies

Hell no. But I'd love to see an animated series that spans 10-30 episodes.

$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

ANET could even get them DRM-or-equivalent protected, and then sell them through the online store.

for me to see a live guild wars action movie the action would have to improve significantly from the cut scenes (BAD ACTING!!!!!). id watch it only if they hired arnold swharzeneger to play rurik and if it was in japanese... instant oscar nomination

With this in mind, allow me to pose a question; but to avoid further confusion I will phrase it in the multiple choice format.

Which of the following statements regarding my original post is the opposite of not un-false?:

A) I firmly believe that Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings film trilogy (2001-2003) is the pre-emptive movie adaptation of Turbine Inc's "Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar" MMO, released earlier this year.

B) Sarcasm (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sarcasm) is a subtle and esoteric concept, it's complex nuances and multi-layered intricacies only (and even then, barely) accessible to the greatest minds of our time.

C) None of the above.

No.

Movies about video games are traditionally quite bad. Final Fantasy: Spirits Within (or something like that) is one of the top 5 worst financial movies in history (costing like 20 times to make then it grossed).

CG movie, sure. Live action? Maybe if Chuck Norris was Rurik, otherwise it'd have to be really good to avoid being a total shocker. Like a 55 challenging a toucher to solo duel in AB...

I guess the only was to make Gw into a good movie would be if they made it into 2 films: eg. Presearing -> Frost Gate/Gates of Kryta as one film and then Gates of Kryta -> Hells Precipase as another storyline (since the Charr and the jouney to Kryta really didnt have much to do with the main storline until NF)

The thing is...when reading an online post...sarcasm is one of the vocal tones that is difficult to pick up on at times.

Surely, you jest, Jaythen!

I just had a fun thought this morning though. How about Tim Curry as the Lich?
